Spring Street is Columbus State's annual literary and visual arts magazine. The Spring Street staff is now accepting submissions for the 2005 edition. Work by students, faculty, and staff are eligible for publication. Please, no alumni submissions.
How to Submit
There are several ways to submit your material:

Drop Box Locations:
We prefer that fiction, poetry, and nonfiction works be submitted on disk (PC or
Mac) in Rich Text Format (RTF), with your name clearly marked on the disk, in
addition to a printed copy. Disk should be in an envelope stapled to your
submission sheet(s)-one form for each separate work on the disk. Multiple
entries can be submitted on the same disk as long as each submission is a
separate document. If that is not possible, please observe the following
requirements:
LITERATURE: Short stories, essays, reviews, and short plays should be typed in a standard typeface (such as Times) and double-spaced, on 8 1/2" x 11" paper. These works should not exceed 3,000 words. Pages should be numbered and the entire work stapled firmly together. Poems should be typed in a standard typeface and single-spaced, with no more than one poem per page. No submitted manuscripts will be returned; a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) should be included only if you want acknowledgement of acceptance or rejection of your submission(s). We prefer text submissions on disk (see guidelines above). Be sure to mark the "disk" line on reverse side of the paper form.
ART: Original photographs, pen & ink drawings, sketches, blueprints, etc. in color or black and white will be considered. (Spring Street prints few color photos; in the past, some color submissions have been published in black & white if their artistic quality was not compromised.) If work of art is larger than 11" x 17", submit a photograph or slide. Do not submit your only copy of original drawings! No art will be returned by mail; artists submitting work may pick up their work by October 1, 2005. Contact Spring Street faculty advisor, Steve Abbott, at 287-5096.
COPYRIGHT: Copyright for works
